H2 Breath test for food intolerances
Food intolerances can cause digestive discomfort such as bloating, cramping and diarrhoea. A two-hour H2 breath test assesses how the small intestine functions. An intolerance to dairy products (lactose intolerance) is the most common condition found. In addition, we test for fructose intolerance, sorbitol intolerance, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
